# AMM Pool

AMM pool participation is ultimately providing liquidity to exisiting token pairs.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/zQcpzHXkgnMoIkr2Xx1x" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you decide to participate in providing liquidity, you must have enough amount for both of the tokens on the pair you wish to provide liquidity with.

For example: LRC/ETH pair

If you want to provide liquidity in this pair, you will need atleast 0.2 ETH and 116 LRC (at the time of writing). Both translates to $34.&#x20;

The respective tokens should have the same value for it to participate in the pool.+

**IMPORTANT**

Providing liquidity comes with risk. One of which is [impermanent loss](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XJ1MSTEuU0). It is strongly advised to read up on impermanent loss before investing into an AMM pool.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs-dapp.loopring.io/earn/overview/amm-pool.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
